April Showers

As I sit here, on a Sunday afternoon, at 4:30, I have to say this weekend has been pretty much a complete wash-out as far as outdoors is concerned. There have been a few breaks in the clouds, as you can see above, but not many.
But...it could always be worse...thank you, Lord, that it's not. I'll take what You send.

Graduation Time

It's that time of year again and my sister brought her daughter, Jenna, by for a few shots in and out around the old homestead. Things were just starting to green up around here. I like the outside ones the best.

First To Bloom

It's that time, again, but it doesn't seem as if it's been a year. I believe they pass by faster; that, or we are closer to the sun.

More CS6

Photos can be just the beginning, and often are, with me. This was a self-portrait I made a little while ago and, using Photoshop CS6's oil paint filter.  I played around with the sliders to get a somewhat natural-looking oil portrait. As with most any shot I save, I began with a huge size, with high resolution, in case one would like to have prints made. I usually save them as 24" x 36", and you can always go down from there. (Staples can print up to that size from a file).
