Tennessee Travels

We had the opportunity this past weekend to head to Tennessee for one of our joys - recording relics of a by-gone era. Tennessee seems to have more of them than our area. These were all recorded in the St. Joseph - Iron City vicinity.

The Jesus Session

We had a great time last weekend, visiting my son, Crisco, and his family in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The weather couldn't have been better, and we were able to get in a photo shoot with Crisco portraying Jesus on the beach. Pam videoed the shoot, so I inserted some of the footage from that. Thanks again, son; you make a great one!

Tiny Miss Rodeo 2013 - Hallie Watson

We had the opportunity of doing a photo shoot with little Miss Hallie Watson, who was crowned Tiny Miss Rodeo 2013. Pam shot the video while I photographed her at home and with the horses. She's a sweetheart!

Cullman Trip & Rumors

Pam had to have her eyes checked yesterday, so she took the day off and we made a video excursion out of it! We'd like to thank the staff at Rumors for a fantastic meal and relaxing atmosphere. We'll be back!
P.S. The photos above are screen shots from the video, below.

The Calmer Part Of Yesterday...

7/21/13. We were in a extended period of unsettled weather the last week or so. Temps never rose into the 90s, which is unusual for the end of July in Alabama.

Fisticuffs

Always seems to be a bit of psychology involved when reading cloud formations.  7/20/13.

7/11 Journey

Beginning today, I hope to shoot a daily skyscape for a year. It's a personal goal I've set, as it not only keeps the skills honed, but it's something that doesn't take a lot of effort or expense to do. I realize some days may be bland, blue skies or stormy gray clouds, but that's alright; it's still glorious to be able to look up to the heavens and be blessed. I hope you will enjoy the trip.

UPDATE, 7/1/15: Well that didn't happen, but skyscapes continue to be my favorite subjects.

Shot The Sun

Don't try this at home, boys and girls. It seems we are becoming sky-specialists; at least it's a subject matter that is always there. Our best expanse of sky is right out the back door for sunsets. The sun just happened to be the main subject in this one.

Another Small Storm Passes...

This one didn't produce any rain, only a rumble of thunder.

After The Storm Passed

Made these the other day after the last thunderstorm went through. It was the evening before the full moon. "Misty Hollow" shows the mist rising from the hollow out back, just as the sun was setting, beyond the lake.

Cabin On 33

This old cabin still stands about 3 miles from home. Actually, it is two cabins with a "dogtrot" between them, and years later was board-and-battened over.

Hens & Chicks

Pam has some monsters on her hands...The largest measures 7-1/2" across, so far.

Mother's Day Rose

We went to visit my mother yesterday, on Mother's Day, and these were planted around her light pole out front.

My Mug, Again

Honestly, I am rarely this serious-looking...just ask Pam.

Mr. Jaybird On The Grapevine Post

We have an assortment of birds that inhabit our backyard and surrounding area. Just before I shot this one, two Canadian geese flew over from the new city lake, just to our west.
